UTFO member and hip-hop legend Kangol Kid, who has died after a battle with colon cancer in a hospital in Manhasset. He was 55 years old according to The Hollywood Reporter. The family statement said he passed away peacefully around 3 AM on Saturday morning following an 18 month battle against an illness that did not allow him to continue living healthily as usual even though they were grateful for all medical assistance provided during this process.
Kangol Kid’s life was an exciting one. He started his career as a breakdancer and later joined the Brooklyn-based hip hop group UnTouchable Force Organization (UTFO), which had an incredible impact on New York City’s growth in this genre of music by pioneering new styles like “scratching” to make it more interesting for people who didn’t know how to move around their hands or feet while rapping – Kangolkid got them hooked!
On Saturday, Kangol’s son T.Shaun Fequiere announced that his father passed away after being hospitalized for complications of colon cancer that had reached Stage IV. The family is in disbelief and has asked for privacy during this difficult time as they adjust to life without him.
