Where the 2022 Commonwealth Games will be held in?

The 2022 commonwealth games will be held in Birmingham. The announcement was made on the 21st of Dec, 2021 during a meeting by The Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) at a press conference at the Arena Academy. The CGF President Louise Martin said: “We are delighted to announce that Birmingham has been selected as host for this prestigious event.”

The venues that will host the Games are located all across Birmingham. From Coventry, Solihull, and Royal Leamington Spa to Cannock Chase Forest, Sutton Coldfield & Wolverhampton.

When is the 2022 Commonwealth Games happen in Birmingham?

Games will take place from the 28th of July to 8 Aug 2022. The last commonwealth games event was held in 2002 when England hosted. Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) decides the date of the event as well as the place of the event. The country where the event goes will be known as the host.

The decision to host an event like the Commonwealth Games is a difficult one. The CGF, which represents all member nations in this regard and sets guidelines for how they should be run says that there are certain requirements needed before any city can convert itself into something meaningful of athletic competition. namely approval from local authorities as well as the possession or right-of-way over necessary land sites such at airports etcetera plus preparation work needs to be done beforehand including building temporary structures where athletes will stay during their visit (in case it rains). It’s also important enough so not just anyone gets chosen but rather those who have proven themselves capable both physically by meeting minimum standards set out via law.

What is the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF)?
